Life’s too short for aches and pains.
Welcome
My name is Dr Scott Vatcher, Founder of LIFE Chiropractic.
Before becoming a Chiropractor, I had completed 80% of my undergraduate degree ‘knowing’ I was going to be a medical doctor…
Then one day everything changed…
My mother who became very ill, experienced a remarkable recovery through wellness chiropractic when the medical profession had essentially “written her off”. After this I turned my focus away from traditional medicine and started a different journey which has seen me travel the world including Canada, USA, Europe, Asia, New Zealand and Australia, as well as work with many sports stars and celebrities including the Adelaide Crows, Adam Brand and Vinnie Jones.
I believe that in order to live your best life, you need a healthy body… and getting the right chiropractic care is at the core of that.
I have been involved in human wellness and performance as a student, teacher, coach, speaker, author and chiropractor for the past 20 years – and I can’t wait to help you and your family achieve optimum wellness too.
Whether you’ve never seen a Chiropractor before, or just looking for a local trustworthy practitioner to address some concerns or help you achieve optimal health, I invite you to get in touch with us today.

Common Questions
Can we help you?
We have patients come in with a wide range of complaints and challenges, the most common being headaches and migraines, sciatica and lower back pain, whiplash, postural problems and general fatigue, as well as other neurological signs and symptoms like numbness and tingling.
What conditions do we see?
We see a wide variety of problems associated with spine and posture issues. The most common are headaches and migraine, back and neck pain, sciatica, scoliosis, tingling in arms hands and legs, general muscle pains and sporting injuries.
What does an adjustment feel like? I’m scared of getting ‘cracked’.
It is not uncommon to hear a slight noise from the shifting of gas and fluids in the joint which is a perfectly normal occurrence, but we appreciate that some practice members would prefer different styles of adjusting. Make sure you speak to your chiropractor about any concerns you may have, as we have many techniques available.
How will I feel after an adjustment?
Great! Most people experience more energy, less discomfort, more flexibility, and an overall feeling of enhanced well-being. Occasionally, you may be slightly sore or tired as your body adapts to the changes occurring. The Doctors will monitor your progress very closely to ensure maximal comfort during this time of change. In some patients with long-term chronic conditions, realigning the spine may also cause the muscles around the spine to be sore afterwards. This is only temporary, until the weakened muscles are strengthened. This is comparable to the discomfort felt after a good work out at the gym.
I think my problem is muscular, can you still help me?
Absolutely. The nervous system controls the tension of your muscles so it is important to get this functioning at it’s best. Most people find that once they get adjusted their muscles begin to relax naturally as their spine and nerves begin to function normally again. The chiropractors use various techniques that affect both the spine and musculature, and we also have massage therapists, acupuncturists and physiotherapists we refer to when required.
How long does it take to become a Chiropractor?
There are literally thousands of research studies done on chiropractic. Every government inquiry into the safety, effectiveness and cost effectiveness of chiropractic have all been very favourable and chiropractors are in Australia are registered with the title “Dr.” on the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. It takes 5 years at university to become a chiropractor.
Don’t medical doctors discourage methods like Chiropractic?
There was a time when doctors recommended their patients to stick to conventional treatments, but this has changed much today. Many doctors have opened up to the scientific benefits of chiropractic, and will not hesitate in making referrals to chiropractors when needed. These are doctors who prioritise the welfare of their patients, and will not stop them from exploring chiropractic if it is the most appropriate treatment.
As more patients seek alternatives to conventional drugs and surgery, more doctors are referring them to chiropractors as well. This is particularly true now that lifestyle related illnesses have become the biggest tax on our healthcare system. Doctors are recognising that in most cases the best treatments for these are not quick fix surgeries and medications, but lifestyle changes that offer long term solutions.
Is it covered by Private Health Insurance?
Yes! We accept all private health funds for chiropractic care. Please check with your provider to find out how much is covered for Chiropractic each year.
